The web empowers. In order for Coalmontians to have a quick way to find things like local zoning maps and bylaws, here is a handy list. Other web links relating to the area can be found here too – particularly access to representatives, BC laws, and government departments.

4. Historical perspectives
The Story of Similkameen is a transcription of Rev. John Goodfellow’s book published in 1958 by the Princeton Centennial Committee.
Probably the best Coalmont history online is by Bob and Diane Sterne. Their pages include an excellent picture series starting with the beginning. More history is provided by Michael Kluckner, and the Sandness page on Coalmont, as well as the complete Sandness Pages which have more Princeton area links than you can shake a stick at.
A little further afield is The Virtual Crowsnest Highway which is a great south-western Canada resource. Check out the timeline, and the Princeton section which has a lot of lesser known Coalmont history. Closely related is Kettle Valley Railway; the whole story.
